Education and Outreach

As part of the SPC's education and outreach, it holds several in-person and online meetings and educational events a year. The SPC believes it will require collaboration throughout the supply chain to affect the change needed to realize sustainable packaging. As a result, the SPC continually looks for opportunities to advance its mission through participation in and hosting of conferences and meetings.

 

SPC February Open Forum - How2Recycle Label Soft Launch Results

Senior Manger Anne Bedarf and Project Associate Danielle Peacock from GreenBlue will present results from the How2Recycle Label soft launch. This Open Forum will set the stage for the case studies being presented at the SPC Spring Meeting.

Anne Bedarf, Senior Manager, GreenBlue
Anne leads the SPC’s How2Recycle Label project, which was soft launched nationally in 2012. She also manages and teaches the Essentials of Sustainable Packaging curriculum. She was previously the Environmental and Safety Manager for the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority and Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority in Charlottesville, VA.

Danielle Peacock, Project Associate, GreenBlue
As a Project Associate, Danielle provides research and support for various SPC projects and initiatives, including the How2Recycle Label, Essentials of Sustainable Packaging, and COMPASS. Prior to joining GreenBlue, Danielle earned a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Carolina.
